UML can be a powerful tool to help plan a project before you begin coding. But often developers see the time it takes as better spent on producing code.
Drawing on real-world experiences this session will demonstrate the existing tools (both commercial and open source) enabling you to integrate UML into your workflow. We’ll look at generating skeleton code from UML and generating UML diagrams from completed projects. Understand what you just wrote! And convince your clients it’s what you meant to do all along.

Dear Mathew,
I have a similar vision about UML and development tools and what they should do, or should not do for a developer. I call this being (or not being) a “developer friendly” tool.
With this thought in mind, my team is developing (and will soon be releasing) UML4AS – UML for ActionScript and Flex. A “developer friendly” UML tool with 2 way AS code synchronization.
Please take a look at: http://www.uml4as.com.
Best regards,
Cristian.
