Steven Goodwin (London, England) is a veteran developer in the games industry with over seventeen years of experience in both development
and management roles. As well as five published boxed games, he has released many online and mobile products. This includes Grand Prix Manager, the #1 selling console game Die Hard: Vendetta, Project Gotham Racing on mobile, and Facebook games such as Pet Society and Restaurant City on Facebook.

As an international speaker and author he has written two industry-standard textbooks “Cross-Platform Game Programming”, and “The Game Developer’s Open Source Handbook” for Charles River Media, “Smart Home Automation with Linux” for Apress, along with over 50 articles covering programming, management, and open source.

Previously the software architect behind many Playfish games, Steven is now Head of Interactive Development at a start-up in London. His interests outside of computers, also involve computers!
