James Alliban

James Alliban is an Actionscript developer and interactive artist from St Albans. He has 3 years industry experience, all of which have been spent at the award winning London based digital agency Skive Creative. His role includes conceptualising and building games, microsites and now Augmented Reality applications.

Outside of work James investigates new technology with a view to creating innovative interactive artwork which he posts on his blog – http://jamesalliban.wordpress.com/. He is primarily concerned with physical computing and works with input devices such as webcams, WiiMotes and sensors. His main tool of choice is Flash but he also works with open source arts based programming languages such as Processing and openFrameworks.

James’ recent experiments in Augmented Reality have developed a great deal of interest, particularly his AR Business Card which recently had over 300,000 views and led to the founding of his new company Augmatic.
