An Introduction to iPhone Application Development (19:00 – 20:00) – Masi Woermann
The iPhone with its quite impressive user base and ease of publishing applications through the AppStore is obviously appealing to developers, but the development environment and Objective-C can be quite daunting the first time you look at it. We will walk through the process of creating a simple application discussing concepts that should make it easy to experiment for the newcomer.
iPhone Development for Web Developers (20:15 – 21:15) – Matt Biddulph
The Cocoa/Objective C iPhone programming environment lacks a lot of the standard libraries and builtin functions that internet programmers are familiar with from scripting languages. This talk will demonstrate how to use build internet-oriented apps using free libraries that give you convenient access to HTTP requests, regular expressions, JSON and local databases.
