Flex Databinding (19:00 – 20:00) – Johannes Nel
Flex databinding is one of the main benefits of using Flex. The goal of this presentation is to cover this often underused feature of the Flex framework.
Flash Lite 2 (20:15 – 21:15) – Richard Leggett
This session covers intermediate to advanced Flash Lite 2 development, by showcasing a video jukebox application, the use of the drawing API to dynamically generate content, and an experimental action game. Topics will focus on common pitfalls and best practices, as this is where Flash Lite development really differs from its desktop counterpart and where most developers get hung up. The aim is to allow fast learners to take away skills that they can apply to Flash Lite development as well as to show inspirational examples of what is possible. The session will also cover the creation of a real time multiplayer game, utilizing the newest Flash Lite features.
